Fanna Loma (Turner) Dickey was born on May 15, 1937, in Dawsonville, Georgia. As a young girl, she moved with her family to the Marietta/Smyrna, Georgia area. She graduated from Campbell High School in 1954. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Georgia and was employed by Lockheed-Martin Corporation.
On October 18, 1958, she married Gene Parvon Dickey, and they embarked on their life’s journey together. For the next forty years, she accompanied her husband on his various assignments with the United States Navy and the United States government throughout the nation and the world. During most of this time, she was employed by the U.S. government. These assignments took her to Washington, D.C.; Argentina; Newfoundland; Denver, Colorado; Taipei, Taiwan; Cary, North Carolina; Dallas and Lakeway, Texas.
Fanna Loma loved nature in all forms. Her greatest enjoyment was derived from flowers, landscapes, seascapes, and the sand Gulf water around Saint Petersburg, Florida. Her passion and devotion have always been for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of the Lakeway Church in Lakeway, Texas.
A memorial service for Fanna Loma will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd, Lakeway, TX 78734, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Fanna Loma's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
