I am so sorry to hear about Frances and and extremenly late sympathy note.  Matt Morgan just told me today.  I hope this reaches you and let me know how you are.

at Santa Fe (UK) Ltd.  I would like to offer my sympathies
to Harry and his family.
I am sure i speak on behalf of all friends who knew and 
worked with him in Edinburgh.

I worked at jarrolds with frances kay and rita, and have photos of us all at the dinner dances, and harry. i remember his mother vividly, a very glamorous lady. I have an album of their wedding photos which i took at st nicholas church. I was so sad to read of frances passing, as she was such a lovely person. God bless frances, rest in peace lovely lady. x

Gone but not forgotten.  Harry I am so very sorry to hear the new's of Frances passing. What an wonderful-happy and unselfish person she was.  She's is now out of pain and looking down on all of you with that big smile on her face.  My prayer's and thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. 



My dearest friend, free at last of all the pain but I don't know how I will cope without you to talk to.

Such a great loss of a wonderful friend, warmest of people, and bravest of women.  Our hearts go out to you Harry and all of your family.  I know that she will be smiling down from above on all of you as she is dancing and singing in heaven waiting for the day you will all be together again.  It is hard to know the reasons why someone so beautiful in their heart and spirit are taken from us when we need them so much, Only God knows the time and place when He wants to take them home.  Our memories of Frances are so sweet and happy and loving.  We will miss her greatly.  




Like my brother John I am so glad we had visited Harry and Frances at home in Humble in 2007 where we entertained regally and sampled the finest TexMex cuisine. It was good to meet up again after about 25 years. I always appreciated the effort that Frances made each Christmas keeping us all up to date with family developments. My thoughts go out to Harry, the boys and their families on this sad occasion. May they take heart from her brave fight against illness and her cheerfulness in adversity.

Oh Frances  I am just so sad to have lost my good friend.  You wer4e always there for me when things were not going well for me and I will miss being able to talk things over with youâ€¦  we always  picked yup where we left off no matter how long it was that we did not see each other.  I loved the way you valued the things that were really important and disregarded the rest.  you had a great way of putting everything in to prospective.  A great friend and a honest to goodness great person.  I hope you will let me have a cuppa with you and Gwen.  Goodbye dear friend. I can't believe what has happened to such a lovely person.  I will always remember her as such a kind and loving person who always made us feel welcome.   Thinking of all the family at this tragic time.  Auntie Frances forever in our hearts.  Loving and missing you always.



We will always remember the holidays we spent with you and Harry - such special and happy times.   Even though you were in pain you were always happy and smiling.   You made us so welcome in your home and we will never forget your kindness.

Harry, Steven, Paul, Valerie, Nancy, Debbie and the children you are all in our thoughts and we will remember Frances with so much love.   She was a very special and brave lady.



Frances, you are a friend indeed.  We shared so much time together and enjoyed so many simple but memorable moments.  Over the years since 1985 when you and I first met Ron and I just stood back in amazement and watched as you decorated your home or worked tirelessly in the yard. You inspired me to follow your lead and get yard of the month, I still cherish that. Still donâ€™t know how you did it, perseverance and your iron will I guess.  Instead of lying down to your health challenges you met them head on and that should be an inspiration to everybody around you.

Make no mistake,you will be sorely missed by me.  Our time together when we sat over coffee just chatting about nothing in particular and our long phone calls later the same day are embedded in my memory.  Will you be waiting for me on the other side?  I certainly hope so â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦ keep the kettle on.

An instant friend for all time.  To know Frances was to love her, you just could not help it.  Though our meetings were often years apart it took seconds to  feel you had last seen her yesterday.  Although I almost poisoned her with my BBQ chicken she forgave me...but never let me forget it.  So much love and compassion for all, she will be missed so very much.  I will always remember her smile and her laughter and total joy she had for the moment.
I cherish the time we spent together and mourn the fact that it was not enough.







It was with deep sadness that I received news of Frances. I had only met her briefly in England many years ago, but feel very privileged to have reacquainted with her during a visit to Humble in 2007. Harry and Frances made us feel so very welcome, treating us to such a memorable and lovely afternoon, dinner and evening despite Frances' obvious adversity. She was a beacon of cheerfulness and courage. I regret that I had not received her e-mail advising us of her move to Austin as I most definitely would have replied. Now I cannot help but note how characteristically optimistic and happy she was at that time only last year. She was indeed a very special person and she was very much loved and respected.



We are thinking of you and remembering Frances with love.  Through all her pain she always had a smile on her face.  When asked how she was feeling her response was always," Oh, not so bad.  How are you?"  She loved her family and friends so very much.  We will miss her.



So suddenly taken away from us, a very special Auntie who I love dearly.
I am fortunate to of known you and have so many memories of my childhood with you, uncle Harry, Steven and Paul.
Such a brave person who never stopped smiling even through hard times.
I will miss you Auntie Frances but know that you are still smiling.
