Grace Ann Harris Watson of Dripping Springs, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2026 at the age of 68. Born in Japan, Grace spent most of her life in the Austin area and the Hill Country around Lake Travis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Misao Harris, and survived by Patrick Watson, her beloved husband of almost 26 years; son Callen Sefcik of Kyle, Texas; brother Bob Bush, nieces Grace Robertson (husband William) and Victoria Irwin, all of Hendersonville, North Carolina. She also leaves behind many members of the Watson family, including brother-in-law Malcolm Watson Jr, and sisters-in-law Beverly Thomas and Cindy Burr.
In Grace’s nearly 50-year career as a hair stylist, her priority was to make every guest look and feel beautiful. She especially enjoyed teaching young stylists how to thrive in a dynamic, constantly changing industry. She loved plants, animals, nature, music and helping all those in need.
Diagnosed with cancer in April 2026, Grace fought an intense four-month battle and endured incredible pain with a smile. When it became clear treatment was futile, she faced death the same way she approached life: with love for everyone around her. Even in her final days, she kept spreading joy to all who saw her.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation with family beginning at 5:00 PM, a memorial service at 6:00 PM, and a rosary following after, on Monday, August 31 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Lakeway. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Emmaus Catholic Church in Lakeway at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Sept 1, followed by inurnment at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Seton Medical Center Austin and Hospice Austin’s Christopher House for the care and compassion they showed Grace in her final days. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Grace’s honor to Lizzy’s Animal Hospice, whose work she supported for many years.
