Gregory Joseph Sacony

Beloved husband of Cynthia M. Sacony (nee Woods). Son of the late Erwin and Helen Sacony. Brother to Larry (Julia) and Michael Sacony and to his late siblings Veronica and Gerard as well as his late brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Donna Woods. Loved dearly by his close-knit in-laws, Mary Ann (Bill) Matela, Carol (Mike) Zochowski, Dan (Patti) Woods, Laurene Woods and Jerry Holmberg. Uncle Greg was deeply loved and will be forever missed by Billy, Elizabeth (Jason), Amy (Bobby & Noah), Danny (Julia), Michael, Ryan (Jenny), Kimberly and Tara. He was a treasured and cherished friend to many in the Austin area as well as in his hometown of Chicago.

Greg was a shrewd and savvy entrepreneur. He had a keen eye for numbers and was always eager to cultivate a new opportunity using his many years of business experience. He was an accountant early in his career and later, a builder. But his favorite endeavor was the acquisition and development of the Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar franchise.

When asked, Greg always said his greatest treasure was Cindy, the love of his life for 38 years.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 20, 2023 beginning at 9:15 am until the time of mass at 10:30 am at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing Road, Austin, Texas.
