Hugo Dale Naumann passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family on February 22, 2021.
A funeral service will be held at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home in Lakeway, Texas on March 5, 2021 at 11:00am. Immediately after the funeral service, Hugo will be laid to rest at Haynie Flat Cemetery in Spicewood, TX, which is located on a former Naumann family ranch. A celebration of life will be held at the Church at Benbrook on March 13, 2021 at 11:00am.
Hugo was born in Austin, Texas on August 2, 1963, to Hugo Ethelmer Naumann and Mary Jane Grob, who both predeceased him. Hugo is survived by his loving wife, Mary Taylor Naumann; his son Hugo Bradford Naumann; his daughter Taylor Rene Campos; his son-in-law Michael Alexander Campos; his sister Gloria Naumann; his sister Joyce Garcia; his sister Renee Israel; his sister Lesa Gatlin; and many nieces, nephews, and their children.
Hugo worked as a financial advisor at Lutheran Brotherhood which later became Thrivent Financial. Hugo had an incredibly strong entrepreneurial spirit and inventive mind, which drove him to create several successful companies such as Hugo Naumann Enterprises, Paradigm Manufacturing, Credit Counseling 101, Taylor Brad Properties, and Quicksilver Custom Homes. In Hugo’s spare time, he enjoyed boating on Possum Kingdom lake with his family, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, cruising internationally, traveling to Walt Disney World, and attending his children’s sporting events. Hugo also had a passion for ministry and volunteered for Kairos of Texas prison ministry for several years prior to his passing.
