
My prayers and thoughts go out to you Danny, the boys and their families, and Jackie. As I enjoyed seeing you today, I hate the circumstances that brought us together. I love you guys!

I will always remember Ima's humor, her strength, and her thoughtfulness for others. She is truly a beloved family member and friend that will be sorely missed.

Thank you, Ima, for all your kindnesses to our family.  When a storm hit our lives in Louisiana you and Danny opened your home to us.  Even let us use one of your cars. It is difficult to put into words, the overwhelming loss of someone like Ima.  Someone who was so full of life, love, laughter and wisdom.  She was amazing. Someone you knew loved you but didn't mix words if you messed up and needed straightening out.  I remember one time, in the station wagon, I think we were going to one of Matt's games - I can't remember which one of us did something we shouldn't have and we were getting the lecture well deserved, from the back Matt says "Hey Mom does this mean we can't go to Fuddruckers"  It didn't come out quite right... and Ima had to pull over because she started laughing, then we all just cracked up.  Many years later we could be in the same room, look at each other and start laughing all over again.  There are so many wonderul memories in the Highlandale house..25 plus years for me.   Of celebrations, holidays, ordinary days....memories of living life to it's fullest, with love, laughter. lessons learned.  There were tears, some teenage insanity but always love.  You could feel it.  My deepest sympathies to John and his family, Matt and his family, her brother Jackie and to the love of her life, Danny Womack.  Ima's passing...I can't imagine...but I know the loss is deep.  



My prayers are with all the family in your time of loss. My mother and Ima
were cousins and our family loved her very much. My mom Betty Sue and Ima can now see each other again but neither in pain, but beautiful and young again. That's a nice thought.

I have been through your pain it will be tough for a while. My heart goes out to you.

He will give you the strength to get through this as He did Ima!!  As we all know, to fight anything for 15 years takes GREAT STRENGTH and that is what Ima had!!  Ima, was a beautiful lady inside and out; Being second cousins and living close to each other we grew up spending a lot of time together.  Even as a young girl she was such a sweetheart.  I remember thinking many times that I wanted to be such like Ima.  
However, later we moved away from each other and I did not see her as often, yet the remembrances of our time when we were young will always be a special place in my heart.
However seeing her from time to time and emailing her was always a blessing.  I enjoyed her sweet attitude even in her emails.  Ima would always write such encouraging messages and I knew she probably did not feel well.  I will miss her and God bless all of her family, you are in our prayers.

I worked with Ima back in the early and mid-80s.  She taught me a lot--especially how to handle attorneys who were not just our employers, but our dearest friends as well.  God bless the Womack Family and her extended family and friends.

I went to school & graduated from Lufkin High School with Ima Jean & Danny. I remember Ima Jean as a very pretty girl & seeing her  recent picture she stayed very attractive.  I have not seen her since High School but have fond memories of our school days. She was a very sweet person.

     Your Mother was the most special person that I have ever met. It would take
alot of space to describe all the positive adjectives to get my point across. I loved talking to her because she was so positive, never complaining about herself. She was mostly interested on how others were doing. She had so much grace and elegance and was always calm. Every so often  and not too often she would get upset about something happenings to us that was not good, she would say, ' damn, damn, damn'  Other than that, she never complained about herself. She was so strong and I will miss her dreadfully. May she rest in peace.

I met Ima thru the IV League Group.  I didn't know her that well. She was always so positive and very nice.  There was something about her that reminded me of my Great Aunt who I loved dearly.
I will miss Ima very much.

I also knew Ima through my dear friend Jack McCauley.   He spoke so glowingly of her. She had to be a very, very special person. My heart goes out to the entire family.   Her time on earth made our world a better place. 
She will be sorely missed.

Mom, I love and miss you. You have always been my rock. When things were bad....you always made them better. You were the one that made me a better person. I will always remember what you have done for me. My brothers and my Dad...you have loved everyone of us even when we didn't deserve it. You always were and now are.... My Angel. You always allowed us to be ourselves even when you thought we were wrong.  Thank you for always loving me and you will always be in my heart. I didn't know Ima personally but my dear friend Jack talked about what a wonderful sister Ima was.

As you grieve, know that we are remembering you and honoring the memory of your wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about.




I knew her through Jack.  We shared a love for dear Jack...I know she blessed all people she came in contact with by seeing her through Jack's eyes and heart.
