Jerry grew up in Colorado where he received his B.S. in Engineering, M.S. in Mathematics, and PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado and the AMP from Harvard Business School. After a fulfilling career in the high technology industry, he retired as a General Partner at Adams Capital Management. Thereafter, he mentored many young Austin entrepreneurs.
He was devoted to his family. Among his many passions were music, sailing and the Longhorn baseball team.
Preceded in death by his sons, Craig and Darren and sister, Mary Kay, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; son, Garrett; daughter, Mindy (Chuck) Starkey, grandchildren Megan and Robert; brother, Pat and sister, Dianne (Dan) Vile, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing Rd., Lakeway, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
