Born Friday, March 18th, 1949, Joseph Aden Lee Edson, Jr. passed away at home Sunday, October 30th, 2022. He’s survived by his wife of 52-years, Kathy Edson, his three children, Tully Edson, Teri Edson Taylor and Timothy Edson and seven grandchildren, Will, Michael, Nathan and Valerie Edson, Zoe and Shelby Taylor and Olivia Edson. He’s also survived by his three siblings, Alicia Gosselin, Jeffrey Edson and Sarah Hyatt as well as his brother-in-law Jeffrey Blackwell and sister-in-law Ellen Anderson, both of whom he considered his own little brother and sister.
Always trusted for his counsel, friends and family sought Lee’s advice on everything from their finances, to basketball to the best way to fix their car. A gentle soul, his soft laugh, strong hands and loud voice on the basketball court will be missed by the many friends he counted all across the country. No brisket will ever taste as good as his, no Christmas light tour through the neighborhood ever the same. No gravy will ever be quite as right and no floral Hawaiian shirt worn quite so joyfully. To say he will be missed is an understatement. But we rest easy knowing he’s joined God in heaven and will be awaiting our arrival with open arms.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, 411 RR 620 South, Lakeway, TX.
