Joyce was born December 1, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky to Heinz and Maud Speck. She passed from this life March 16, 2012, in Lakeway, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, George Parsons; children Ann, Bruce, Cynthia; Reakey, Kim; grandchildren Lauren, Jason, Haley, Morgan, Cameron, Camille, Ryan, Perry; great-grandchildren Skylar, Sean, William; and sister JoAnn.
In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution in Joyce's name to Hospice Austin or Austin Meals on Wheels. A private ceremony celebrating Joyce's life will be held Saturday evening, March 24th, at the family residence in Lakeway, Texas.
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana for many years, Joyce presided as executive director over the Lafayette Board of Realtors. She married George Parsons in 1979 and moved to New Orleans where they lived until George's retirement in 1986 when they relocated to Lakeway and enjoyed a wonderful life on the lake, playing golf and entertaining their many friends. Joyce was always the "Life of the Party". She will be missed by all.
