Kathryn Mary Goodyear (Katie), of Village of the Hills, Texas passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014. She was born on June 9, 1959 in Minneapolis Minnesota to Mary Patricia Stravens Goodyear and Harry John Goodyear (both deceased.)
She attended the University of Dallas and graduated from the University of Texas. Kathryn worked as a healthcare consultant, both in her own business and for United Healthcare.
She is survived by her children, Kia Marie Pekarna (age 19) and Austin Matthew Pekarna (age 18) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, her beloved dogs, Max and Misty, and her siblings, Margaret Goodyear, John Goodyear, Tom Goodyear, and Tim Goodyear.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Emmaus Catholic Parish in Lakeway, Texas on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Austin Pets Alive at www.austinpetsalive.org
