

He and his family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where his sister Kenndra was added to the family before they settled down in Austin, Texas.
Kendrick attended pre-school at Westlake United Methodist and Riverbend Child Development School. He spent his kindergarten and first grade years at Valley View Elementary, second through fifth grade years at Bridge Point Elementary, sixth through eighth grade years at West Ridge Middle School, and ninth through twelfth grade years at West Lake High School, where he played football for the Chaparrals.
Kendrick was an avid sportsman and, as a young man, he participated in numerous sports. He enjoyed birding, fishing, hunting, working out, playing football, baseball, and basketball. He had the love of football and played QB for his flag football team starting in second grade. He was the starting quarterback for his Pop Warner team coached by his dad, Gary Cutsinger, and Bill Orr, a father-mentor in his life. At West Ridge Middle School he was a running back, and at Westlake he played tight end. He was an All District, All Central Texas Tight End.
Kendrick went on and received a scholarship to West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. He played his freshman and sophomore year as a tight end for the Buffs.
He was coming into his junior year at West Texas A&M. He loved life and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he wasn’t on the field. Kendrick was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church and was baptized May 5, 2004.
Kendrick is survived by his father, Gary Leon Cutsinger of Houston, Texas, a former Houston Oiler; mother Pam (Gumm) Cutsinger of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; sister Kenndra Cutsinger of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; half sisters Kim Shiedel of Kerrville and Tami Church of Houston, Texas; grandmothers Mary Gumm of Marble Falls, Texas, and Mary Cutsinger of Austin, Texas; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and great cousins.
A scholarship fund in lieu of flowers is being established at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, as well as a memorial fund in Kendrick’s name set up for the family at Compass Bank in Marble Falls, TX.
A cheerful celebration of Kendrick’s life will be held at Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Viewing will take place 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, 411 RR 620 South.
