Saturday 2/13/16 My Grandma Laura Alice Rosenbusch went to be in the arms of our Creator. Her passing has been bittersweet. I had her with me for the past 4 1/2 years. She had a list of heath issues that the average young adult would not survive. Her desire to live life and be with family helped her to power through all the struggles. Her faith made her strong.
Grandma was my dad's mother that raised me since I was a baby. She was my age now when I was born. What a gift for us both that my parents had decided to let us be together. She taught me so much. The reason I am who I am. She influenced so many others by being such a loving caretaker/teacher/ mother figure. I can't believe I was so lucky to have her in my life.
My dad and I got to say goodbye. She was hanging on to know her boys were ok. She didn't get to see my Uncle Mike but I promised her we would stay in touch. I thanked her for everything she did for me. Especially making sure I know JESUS. So now my own children do. And what a legacy she had left. She had a tear roll down her cheek. Shortly after she went peacefully, here at home in her own bed with family around. I wish you all could have known her like I did. She was my Best Friend.
