Linda was born on September 13, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas to Emmitt and Audrey Smith. She formally lived in Sherman, TX before moving to Spicewood and lived there over fifteen years. She worked as an Accountant/Auditor for the Texas General Land Office where she retired.
Survivors include her son William Matthew Cox and wife Monica Lynn Cox; her sister Donna Lee Hartline and husband Dub; brothers-in-law Jay Alan Cox and wife Connie Rhea and Randall Duayne Cox and wife Delores Jean. Also included are her niece and nephew Robbie and Buddy Hartline, Tiffany Rose and Tanner Ray Cox; great niece Kinley Rae Cox.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 411 Ranch Road South 620 in Lakeway, TX. Services will be conducted on site. Burial will be held at the cemetery at Bee Caves Baptist Church located at the corner of HWY 71 and RR620.
