Born in Gonzales and raised on the family ranch, she lived all over her beloved state of Texas, graduated from The University of Texas, went on to earn an MBA from the UT business school, and was a passionate Longhorn fan for life. She had a successful career in banking, financial services, consulting, and real estate. She loved to travel, visiting at least 57 countries, and she loved the water, frequently visiting the beach and living on a hill above the lake where she would ring a bell as the sun set.
Linda was daughter to Lawrence and Ida, sister to Nancy, mother to David, mother to Mike and mother-in-law to Erika, and grandmother to their children, Kassidy and Ellie.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held Sunday, September 8th, at The University of Texas Alumni Center in Austin, from 2:00-4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda's name to The Texas Exes Association or The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Linda wanted to say to everyone, "I knew this would happen. Party on!"
