María Del Consuelo Santos De Almanza passed away peacefully in her eldest daughter’s home on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Austin, Texas.
Born on April 20th, 1937, to Timoteo Santos Asua and Maria Amada Calvillo Mares, María grew up in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She was a devoted Catholic who’s compassionate and kind nature shone brightest through her unwavering devotion to her family. She found great joy in cooking and traveling, especially when surrounded by large gatherings of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years, Florencio Almanza Herrera, who passed six years ago.
