

Mary Ann was born December 6, 1923 in Austin, Texas to Mabel (Nivens) and Bobby Towns. She graduated from Austin High School in 1942 and served her country in the United States Navy during World War II teaching soldiers to recognize aircraft. Following her military service, she attended the University of Texas, where she met and married her husband of over 60 years, Phillip Wyche.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Pat Wyche and his wife Lelan Daines, and daughter, Catherine Wyche Bingaman and her husband Wade.
She was a devoted grandmother to five grandchildren, Ginnie Wilcox and her husband Keith, Robert Wyche and his wife Diana, Michael Wyche and his wife Jaime, Conor Bingaman and his wife Jessica, and Kirk Bingaman and his wife, Danielle.
She is also survived by 10 cherished great-grandchildren: Katy Harvey, Patric Harvey, Faith Ann Wilcox, Payten Wyche, Miles Wyche, Cole Wyche, Tucker Wyche, Anne Louise Bingaman, Phillip Bingaman and May Bingaman.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive in Austin.
