Born on June 27, 1926, outside of Duncan, OK, Marie was a woman of grace, creativity, and warmth. She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories, and her presence lit up every room she entered.
Marie opened The Silken Touch in 1984, and for 35 years she was known for her stunning silk flower arrangements—each one crafted with care and love. A true artist at heart, her creations brought joy to countless homes, and her passion for beauty was evident in everything she touched.
One of the greatest joys of her life was her marriage to Jim Eads, her beloved husband and best friend. Together, they shared a bond built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Whether traveling, enjoying a quiet evening at home, or simply holding hands, their love was a beautiful example of partnership and devotion.
Marie is survived by her brother, Alton "Butch" Belt; her two sons, James Eads and Mark Eads; her granddaughters, Christine, Stacy, and Amy; and her great-grandchildren, Johnny, Tyler, Andrew, and Evie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Eads.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her loving spirit, and the way she made everyone feel like family.
A celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral H0me, located at 411 Ranch Road 610 S., Lakeway, Texas, 78734. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center at MDAnderson.org.
