Minnie "Jo" attended schools in the Austin Independent School District.
She enjoyed gardening, bowling, and had a love for all animals and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Chipman, Sr; sons, Richard C. Pulatie (Judy), Tommy Joe Pulatie Sr. (Mitzi), James "Jimmy" A. Chipman Jr. (Liz); daughter, Rose Marie Smith; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her pets, Tara and Bitty Kitty.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, 411 RR 620 South, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Preece Cemetery in Austin.
Memorial contributions may be made in Minnie "Jo's" name to the Humane Society.
