He was a long time resident of Austin living in Hudson Bend at Lake Travis. His career at IBM began in 1953 in Poughkeepsie, NY which led him to Lexington, KY and finally Austin in 1969. Ray served in the Navy from 1947 to 1952 during the Korean War. He was an avid reader, loved the lake, sailing, traveling, and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix, or build. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was knowledgeable about many topics. He would often say, joking, "What else would you like to know?" after telling his children a story.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, Therapists and Aides at Baylor Scott and White Rehabilitation Institute and Brookdale Skilled Nursing Memory Facility for their compassionate care.
