He graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in Civil Engineering and worked in many countries throughout his career as a project manager for both Brown & Root & Haliburton.
Dick was an avid hunter, target shooter, and gun collector. He also enjoyed fixing anything mechanical.
He loved westerns and country music. He always had a beer with his dinner.
He is survived by his children Ralph (Cecilia) Maybury, Rebecca Bashaw, and Richard H (Diane) Maybury; his grandchildren Jennifer Haglund, Wren Maybury, Bane Maybury, and Greer Maybury; his great-grandchildren Kaiyah Haglund and Brandon Cocks; and his sister Lucy King.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Auld Maybury and Virginia Lee Maybury and his wife Derre Jo Maybury.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
