

Born on November 3, 1931 in Ginter, PA to the late Calvin Pusey and Martha Pusey.
Dick graduated from Madera High School in 1949. He then served in the US Navy from 1950 until 1954 on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt, which was a source of great pride. After his service, he attended Williamsport Technical Institute and was later employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources where he worked until retirement in 1991.
Dick enjoyed Pennsylvania, classic cars, watching the Steelers, attending ship reunions and woodworking and would often make things for his grandchildren to paint. He was a member of Camp Hill Presbyterian Church and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Ships Reunion Association. He was also a life member of VFW, American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his son, Richard J. Pusey, Jr. of Harrisburg, PA, his daughter, Paula Aventa and husband, Tony Aventa of Austin, TX; sisters, Pat Ranish of Greenwood, DE and Laura Ann Zazworsky of Camp Hill, PA; and three grandchildren Cailin Pusey, Elena and Alyssa Aventa.
An intimate memorial service was held at the Aventa Home on September 23, 2017.
A memorial service will be held at Camp Hill Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
