I just learned of Bob's passing.  Bob and I spent a lot of time together, Bob at 2nd base and me at 1st base, on every all-star youth baseball team I can remember and  the Col-Hi Wildcats.   Bob's dad was always there, very supportive in his quiet way.  Bob was the complete package - a great athlete, a scholar, and a good friend.  I am so grateful that Bob and I had a long telephone conversation only a year ago, reminiscing about our high school days.   My condolences to Bob's family.
