Sandra Dawson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Austin, Texas. She was reunited with her cherished husband of 52 years, Cree, who preceded her in death.
Sandy leaves behind a loving family: her children Victoria and Andrew, one grandchild, her sisters, Edith and Barbara, and many nieces and nephews.
An active and devoted member of Christ Church Episcopal in Middletown, New Jersey, Sandy dedicated many years to her church community. She served in numerous capacities, including Altar Guild Director, ECW President, and Acolyte Mother. She also enriched the Holmdel, New Jersey community, where she resided for 38 years, through her involvement in the garden club and other activities.
Sandy and Cree retired to their home in the western North Carolina mountains, enjoying many happy years there before relocating to Austin to be closer to family.
A private service will be held to celebrate Sandy's life.
