Sharon Lee (née Wallace) Anderson

Sharon Lee Anderson (née Wallace) passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Lakeway, Texas, at the age of 83. Born on September 3, 1941, in Freeport, Texas, Sharon lived a life filled with love and deep devotion to her family.

She now joins her beloved husband, Charles Anderson Sr.—her cherished “Chickadee”—with whom she shared a life of love and partnership. They enjoyed many years living in Brookside Village, where Charles served as the Police Chief and Sharon became a beloved part of the community.

Sharon was a devoted mother to Dana (John) Fish, Craig (Vanessa) Hardegree, Glenda (Denny) Combs, Linda (Clay) Harper, Charles Anderson Jr, and Debbie (Allen) Fowler. She was lovingly known as “Nena” by her grandchildren—Tiffany (Blake) Wellman, Erica (TJ) Syverson, Rachael (Matt) Johnson, Kevin (Lauren) Fish, Collin Fish (Cameron Rouse), Tara Whitehouse, Scarlett Harper, Ryan (Merlinda) Whitehouse, Kayla Anderson, Lillie (Chris) Burtness, Crystal McKenzie, John Fowler and Scott Fowler—who will forever cherish the kindness and unwavering support she brought to their lives. Her great-grandchildren—Olivia, River, Ellie, Charlotte, Lucy, Wade, Addison and Brandon were the light of her later years. She adored spoiling them with toys and books, always ready with a smile and a surprise to make them feel special.

She is survived by her brother David Wallace, whom she spent the last several years in lengthy reminiscent phone conversations, as well as her nephews Aaron (Tiffany) Wallace, Dean Wallace, Mike Wallace, and Todd Wallace.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Anderson Sr., her son Charles E. Anderson Jr., daughter Debbie Fowler, her father Roy Wallace, mother Dorothy Wallace and brother James Wallace.

A proud graduate of The Bryman School, Sharon earned her Medical Assistant certification and carried the heart of a caregiver throughout her life. In Charles’s final years, she gave him strength, love, and unwavering support. Caring for others was second nature to her.

Sharon found joy in family and the simple things—gardening and watching the wildlife around her. Her creativity shone through in her early years of painting and later in her lovingly handcrafted cards. For every birthday, holiday, and special occasion, Sharon delighted in making a personalized card for each member of her family—treasured keepsakes that reflected her thoughtfulness and artistic spirit.

Her beautiful smile and boundless love for her family will be remembered always.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet grace. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service for Sharon will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734.
