

Sherry Lynn Moore Waldrop, 75, of Austin Texas, retired owner of Bee Cave BBQ and piano teacher, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 in her home surrounded by her children. Born December 5, 1949, Sherry graduated from Austin High in the class of 1967.
Sherry received an Associate of Music degree from University of Texas American College of Musicians and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Sherry was a member of the Women’s Symphony League, Art Group 6, Austin Women’s Club, National Rehabilitation Association, National Piano Guild, and active member in her community as the Lake Hills POA Fundraising chairman. Sherry enjoyed hobbies of rehabilitating animals in need, horses, hunting, music, and spending time with family.
Sherry is survived by her daughters, Tracy Lynn and Rachel Lynn; son Jack Brian and son Michael Brandon; her brothers, Dr’s Frosty and Pam Moore and Robin Moore and Don Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; Doyle and Colleen Moore and her beloved husband, Jack.

The Equus Foundation supports banning horse slaughter in the US and banning the transport of horses for slaughter across borders or abroad. The foundation promotes horses as the teachers and healers that they are and assists horses in finding their forever homes who may be at risk for slaughter due to transitioning or are aged.
