She will be dearly missed by the love of her life and husband, Patrick Lambert, as well her mother, Cynthia May, sisters, Kathy Porter and Cindy Webb, and numerous family and friends.
Shyla was the fiercest woman many ever met. Those of you who knew Shyla well will agree that she was an absolute force of nature. She prized loyalty above all else and once you were welcomed into her orbit, you knew you always had a friend in your corner.
She was known for adopting stray people and animals alike and more than one of you left her house with a new pet you didn’t know you needed.
Shyla was extremely private concerning all things medical, so please remember her zest for life rather than concerning yourself with details of her passing. Rest assured she knew her friends and family loved her and Patrick was lucky enough to hold her hands to the end.
Patrick knows that many people, including himself, feel utterly helpless in situations such as this and need to know what they can do. If you are able, please go adopt an animal from your local rescue or shelter in her honor. If you are not able to adopt, a Memorial Fund has been arranged for neglected and needy dogs at Highland Lakes Canine Rescue, a 501c3 dog rescue charity in the Texas Hill Country. In lieu of flowers, please visit: https://app.mobilecause.com/f/3fk0/n?vid=kfd39 and note your donation is in honor of Shyla May-Lambert. She would be grateful for your kindness, helping to make an impact on abandoned animals.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.wcfishlaketravis.com for the MAY-LAMBERT family.
