Sue Stevens

Sue was born December 13, 1926 in Iowa Park, Texas to the late W.O. Watkins and Winnie Watkins. She attended Iowa Park High School and graduated in 1944. Afterward, she attended Hardin Junior College in Wichita Falls. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls for many years.

Sue enjoyed tending her rose garden and keeping her large yard beautifully groomed. She loved to spend time boating, fishing, and relaxing at various lakes in Texas with family and friends. Visits with her two grandsons and great-granddaughter brought a very special joy to her life.

Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Miley, and her brothers Keith Watkins and Johnny W. Watkins. She is survived by daughter Nancy Chamberlin (Ronald Chamberlin), son Steve Sims (Pat Sims), daughter Susy Loftus (Brian Loftus), grandsons Kevin Sims and Craig Chamberlin, great-granddaughter Kailyn Sims, and niece Karen Watkins Paul.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Brookdale Lakeway for the excellent care that they provided to Sue during her residency. In addition, the family is very grateful to Heart to Heart Hospice for their kindness and tender care of Sue in her final days.
