For the past several months, she was in Austin surrounded by the love, comfort, and constant care of her family. We are deeply grateful for the time we were given to be together — to be by her side and ensure she was never alone.
She is survived by her daughter, Kellie Thurman, son-in-law, Jason Thurman; her sister, Mary Green, and brother-in-law, Steve Green; her niece, Jennifer Green, and nephew, Travis Green; and her cherished grandchildren, Peyton Davison, Lyla Davison, Sadie Faye Davison, and Ryllie Ann Eckes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Bill Sampert, her daughter Kerrie Ennis, and her sister Linda Sammons. We find peace in knowing they are all together again.
Suzanne graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, Texas, where she proudly served as captain of the drill team and was a member of the National Honor Society. She went on to study at the University of North Texas before beginning a long career with Cisco Eagle Manufacturing, where she dedicated over 40 years before retiring. Loved by many and by all who met her, Suzanne had a special heart for animals and continued working as a pet sitter even after retirement. One of the things people remember most about her, was her infectious laugh, which brought joy wherever she went. She will forever be remembered with love.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Magnolia Hospice for their compassionate care, as well as their kindness and support.
A private service will be held for the family.
