

Lakeway- Victor D. Edwards, 68, of Lakeway died March 23, 2025 after an extended battle with cancer. He is survived by his father, Charles A. Edwards (Colonel, US Army- Retired) of Lakeway and many cousins in Texas. Victor was born in San Marcos, Texas on July 29, 1956, the only child of Charles and LaNell Edwards who were natives of Bell County, Texas. He attended public school in eleven different locations in the United States and Germany, graduating from high school in Vienna, Virginia.
During high school and two years of college at Northern Virginia Community College, Victor worked at the Fairfax County Hospital. Not being able to pursue a career in military aviation due to color blindness, he chose a career in civil aviation with a color blindness permanent waiver. Over the span of years, he ultimately achieved an Airline Transport Pilot rating (ATP). With this rating, he did airline, cargo, agricultural, and law-enforcement flying in many fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, acquiring more than 8,000 flying hours. He was a pilot for U.S. Customs before the designation to ICE. He dedicated his life in Lakeway to helping others. Victor made his profession of faith in Christ during his teenage years in Temple, Texas.
A private memorial service will be held during interment at the Lakeway Church Memorial Garden at a later date.
