Violet “Ann” Martin Williams was born on March 17, 1934 to Ruth Chorn and Vivian “Bud” Martin. Ann was raised by her loving family in Weatherford, Texas. After high school graduation, she attended North Texas University, where she met the love of her life, Joe Williams.
On June 9, 1956, she married Joe and they had 2 children, Michael and Michele. They enjoyed the next 69 years together. Ann was a business/education major and taught school in several cities where they lived.
Ann and Joe retired in 1994 to Austin, Texas. They enjoyed traveling most of the world together. She enjoyed golf, tennis and playing bridge with her many friends. Ann and Joe were active members of Lakeway Church.
Ann was a classy lady adored by all who knew her. Her passion and devotion has always been for her family and faith.
Remaining to cherish Ann’s memory are her husband Joe, daughter Michele (Tom), 4 grandchildren and their significant others, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Allen (Carmen), sister-in-law Virginia, many nieces, nephews and other family members, and her sweet dog Bella. Violet was preceded in death by her son, Michael Williams.
A celebration of life for Violet will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd, Lakeway, Texas 78734. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Lakeway Church in memory of Violet Ann.
