Virginia M. Moss, Lakeway resident and former resident of Amarillo, died Monday, September 7, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Chapel at Lake Travis. Interment will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moss was born in Trinidad, Colorado on October 6, 1920. She married Ralph V. Moss in 1948. During WWII she worked for the U.S. Engineer's Office and the FBI at the Pantex Ordnance Plant in Amarillo, and later served as Deputy County Clerk of Potter County, Texas.
She was a member of Travis Chapter 472, and a former member of Amarillo Chapter 787, Order of the Eastern Star, and a recipient of the "Lone White Flower" for outstanding service to her community from legendary Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame member Matthew "Bones" Hooks.
Mrs. Moss is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph V. Moss, her son, Austin attorney Bill Ralph Moss, and her grandson, Dr. Brandon Price Moss, M.D., of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
