She eventually returned to school graduating, in 1992, with distinction, from Ulster County Community College with an Associate of Science degree. In January of 1993, Virginia and her family relocated to Austin Texas where the family remains.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents George and Dorothy Hawkins and her husband Ronald Rintoul. She leaves behind her cherished daughter Cherie Lynn Rintoul-Barazandeh and her husband Darius as well as two beloved grandsons Bennett Gray Barazandeh and Zachary Matthew Barazandeh. Her grandsons were the light of her life and she fought valiantly against her disease so she could watch them grow.
