William Russell "Russ" Walin

William Russell Walin "Russ" passed away on June 28th 2016 in the comfort of his home. A memorial service will be held Monday July 4th, 2016 at Weed- Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 411 RR 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734.

Russ was born on December 25th, 1958 in Honolulu Hawaii to William John Walin and Adell R Walin. He was a Christmas present to the family. Russ has traveled all over the world either with family since his dad was in the Air Force or for his job at Motorola. He finally settled down when he bought his house in Lakeway Texas so he could be close to Lake Travis.

Russ loved to hunt and fish up in Montana with his older brother Ronald. They would take a week during the winter time and go shoot some guns and play in the snow since there isn't much snow in Texas. He also loved to spend his time at lake Travis with all his friends that were like family to him.

In August of 1984 he graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree. He was employed by NXP at the time of his death. He spent his life doing what he loved to do. Work, travel, be with family, and be on the lake.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents. His dad William J Walin. Also some aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother Adell R Walin. Brother Ronald L Walin and Wife Gwen L Walin, Sister Marylin J. Smith and Husband Gary Smith. Niece Alicia Cork, Nephew Chris Walin, Josh Smith and Zack Smith. And many aunts and uncles. Also his cats bubble and mittens which were like his kids.
