Hey dad, just checking in with you, I miss you so much I can't believe its been this long without you! it will be 4 years in less than 1 month.  I just ant you to know that I think of you everyday and so wish I could talk to you about all the things im going through and all my accomplishments! Im dealing with a heart issue just like you dad! daddy's poopie foreal huh!!  I know you like of course my baby girl would have a heart condition like me! smh its rough and I can feel a lil bit of what you used to go through, im really trying to be strong and get through it, I know your watching over me dad! I know your in a better place, just keep me close to you! I need you more than ever right now. I really miss your hugs and laugh and your humor! man we had some funny times! I love you soooo much and I just had to come back here 4 years later and let you know. ohhh and guess what yo poopie went and bought herself a Beemerrrrrrrr its so nice! you would be like damnnnnnnnnnnn my kids is the bomb!!!! lol Come take a ride with me dad! I love you!

My fondest memory of Tony is when I used to babysit him as a little boy. He was so cute & funny. He had a good time at my house in Los Angeles when his Mom, Doris, would drop him off. My girls loved him. Rest in Heaven my sweet cousin. You are much loved.

My oldest cousin Tony Long  taught me so much  im going to miss you cuzz but you are in a better place and you got a new heart no more pain or suffering you are now with our heavenly father and our love ones who have welcome you home I love you (T. Long ) gone but not forgotten R.I.H.  

Dear Uncle Tony,
Nothing I say can change the fact that you're not here. I thank God that I know that to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. Truly that's what keeps me in the state of comfort. You mean a lot to me, you were like a surrogate father. Your encouragement alone help me through a lot of rough times. You always knew just what to say and the right way to say it. You always made me laugh, but most of all I will never forget you're absolute amazing voice. Your style, your laugh, and you in general are irreplaceable to me. No one will ever come close to you. Thank you Uncle Tony for being you, and for seeing me for who I was. It's crazy because the last time we spoke you told me how proud you were of me and of the wife and mother that I had become. I will never forget your words of encouragement in that moment.  I asked you to sing to me and you told me you didn't think you could but you did. It made me smile and lifted my heart. That song will forever echo in my heart. I love you and I thank God for you and your life. No more worries for now your heart is resting in God's hands. Your heart was just too big for this world to handle. I love you Uncle Tony! Take your rest but please watch over us all!

Uncle Tony literally was always dressed to impressed! I’ll never forget his scent and style it was alwayssss so fresh and so clean! Thank you for all the memories and for always being willing to serve your church as much as possible. If we needed a soloist you were there. You were faithful and consistent and I’ll never forget the memories shared throughout the years!

My uncle Tony always spoke his mind about any and everything. One thing I remembered is when he had on this purple suit and his cologne was sooooo strong. I was young but I remembered a few words that didn’t mean much to me at the time but as I got older it followed me. I said uncle why you always dress and smell like that every time I see you he said “Titta   even when you broke you don’t show anyone you broke, you don't show anyone how sad you are, or what struggles your dealing with. You keep your head up, stay strong and be happy that you are opening your eyes in the morning, you show people you are just fine, and don’t change who you are.” That totally went in one ear and out the other, at the time the only thing I replied back was “ Can y’all stop calling me titta when I get older please.” He said no. 

This is hard to take in but no matter what, WE have to stay strong and remember, He wants us to keep going and don’t let anyone change who we are, no matter how outdated your clothes or look may be to others. ahaha. 

Dad, there’s not a second that goes by where I don’t think of you and all the moments we shared. Half of my life I grew up trying so hard to be so different from you, only to end up in a situation seeing that we were SO much a like and there were things I just couldn’t run from. Spending everyday with you allowed me to see the man you truly were. Thank you for EVERYTHING! Mom found an old letter you wrote me when I was younger. I wish I knew then what I know now because you were rooting for me to be the best man I could be the whole time and I couldn’t see it. My hurt blinded me dad and I’m sorry because even when you couldn’t be there you were there. These last couple of months you masked a lot of your pain with jokes and laughter. As much as it hurt me to watch that I too masked my hurt only to laugh with you because I didn’t know if we’d ever laugh together again. I felt that if you could be that strong I knew I could too. I truly saw you dad, and for the first time in my life I never wanted to be without you. You covered EVERYTHING and that’s all that matters to me. Holding you in my arms while NEW heavenly arms embraced you in transition is the only memory I’ll ever need…  Can’t wait to see you again man.

My first memory of my brother in law is when I first met him at my parents house. He and my sister had arrived to get premarital counseling and plan their wedding ceremony. He seemed a little nervous, but as we began to talk and he started laughing with that infectious laugh of his, it was like we had known each other forever. I will always remember your laughter, style and singing voice. Rest well brother in power and in peace. 

For a boy growing up, it takes a lot of different influences for him to know what kind of man he wants to be.  As a child I found myself pulling cues and notes from the men I grew up around.  
Uncle Tony, you are and always will be one of my major puzzle pieces that make me; me.  
Your example taught me when its time to show up; show up in your very best; dress to stand out and when someone acknowledges the shine act as if this me everyday.  
When I was down you always had a kind word. When I forgot what you thought me;  you reminded me that I was better than what I thought I was. Thank you for being a friend and someone I respect.
I'll never forget you.
You are and will forever be a force to be reckoned with.
