Barbara May Harter

Barbara May Harter; Barbara was granted her angel wings on Jaunuary 18, 2015 in Newberry Springs, California, at the age of 87. Barbara was born on November 29, 1927 in Huntington Park, California to John and Mary Alderson. Her parents passed away when she was very young and she was rasied by her grandparents. Lottie and Bud Teson. She married the love of her life, Hubert Leo Harter, on November 22, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Lancaster, California. Barbara was a loving wife, a caring mother and kindest person you could ever meet. She enjoyed living on the farm in Newberry Springs, and being surrounded by her family who all referred to her as "Grandma Harter." Barbara loved to cook, was an avid football fan, and had a fondness for cats. She was a generous individual who enjoyed volunteering for the Barstow Hospital Auxiliary. Babara is survived by her nine children, Steven Harter (Donna), Linda McCarthy(Dennis), Mike Harter(Marilyn), Carol Falassi (Paul), Joe Harter(Susan), Scott Harter (Kay), Bob Harter, Anne Mendoza (Peter), Ronald Harter (Amy). Barbara also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Hubert Leo Harter, and her brother John Alderson. Viewing will be held from 4-8 pm, Tuesday , January 27, 2015 at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary with services at 10am Jaunuary 28, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church Lancaster, California and interment immediately following at Joshua Memorial Park.
