Benjamin James Nash, 86, born in Mitchell, South Dakota on February 24, 1928, died at his home in Lancaster, CA, on
November 24, 2014. “Jim” or “Jamie” is survived by his dearly loved wife of 30 years, Heloisa, his children Lorrie, Jim, Mary
, and John Nash, grandchildren, and numerous beloved relatives and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Ben Nash, his sisters Miriam Ness and Eloise Langenfeld, and his son Paul.
Jim served his country in both the Army and Air Force. Over the years, he worked for various companies, but his longest career included working as an aircraft mechanic at Boeing, Northrup, and Lockheed, and he retired from Flight Systems in Mojave. Jim’s love of airplanes as a child and his work spurred a much-enjoyed hobby of building and then flying his custom model radio-controlled planes along with his Antelope Tailwinds friends. Jim was also a long-time member of the Elks and Moose lodges.
Without a doubt, Jim will be greatly missed. Services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2:00 p.m. at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary.
