I just wish that I can hear your voice and see your face. I’m missing you so much. I’m under so much stress and I’m still trying to hold everybody down. I’m exhausted beyond words. This is so hard. I really don’t know how you did it without going insane. I understand now what you meant about having or wanting peace of mind. That is what I yearn for. I have to make some difficult decisions but at the end I hope this doesn’t change the way you see me. Just know that I did my best..

Happy Birthday, Momma. You are getting old, old woman. I’m just playing. Today, I don’t know what to feel. I’m in between right now. I’m deeply saddened and depressed that it’s another year, another one of your birthday’s without you but then I’m happy for you because you are no longer suffering anymore. I’m trying to be strong but I do have my moments where it catches me off guard and I find myself crying for you. I’m crying now just writing these words. I miss you so much. We all do. When does missing you get any easier?  I don’t think I will ever be the same person without you. I ache for you. I’m forgetting things. I’m forgetting Memories of you, your voice, your smell. If only I could hear your voice or see your face just one more time. It will help. The kids are doing alright. One in high school, three in college and one taking a break before college. We are still together and we are still going strong. Nothing or no one will break us up. With you and God on our sides, nothing or no one can do us no harm. We have been through some unpleasant obstacles but by the grace of God we are able to start anew. A new house, new surroundings. God has been good and generous to us since your passing. We all look forward to seeing you in heaven. Love you 

Today is one of the hardest days of my life. Christmas, your favorite holiday momma. We had a beautiful Christmas this year but like always there was something missing and that was you. I can’t believe that this is our second Christmas without you. I am forever grateful that God gave me such a wonderful, caring and loving mother such as you. Things are different for us down here. We are not were we worked so hard to be, but we are happily in a beautiful new home. In which, I know you would have loved. I have some of things you loved so much displayed out into the open for us to always remember you by. Unfortunately, I can’t put everything out but I do have the things you loved so dear. The kids are doing well. Matter of fact, they are all blossoming into beautiful young adults. They are all so happy. They are missing you, of course, but just know that they will always be cared for, loved, and know that they will always have a home to come to. I will always make sure of that. Always. So enjoy heaven, momma. I know you are always watching over us. Thank you for everything. I love you so much. 

Man, I miss you so much. My heart hurts/ aches so bad not having you here. It surely doesnt get any better and knowing Christmas will be here soon (your favorite holiday) doesnt make it any easier. I cry for you everyday. Every single day. I know that you arent suffering anymore in which makes me happy but knowing that youre not here, not here in this house, with you sitting in your chair on your iPad, listening/ watching  Jimmy Swaggart on your t.v. saddens me deeply because I have become so accustomed to seeing you EVERY SINGLE DAY. You were my best friend. My ONLY friend. My life. My life has a missing piece or a giant hole in which NOTHING satisfies or fills in the missing gaps.  Life here isnt the same without you. This house IS NOT the same without you. Your love, your laughter, your cooking, your wisdom and even your ambition.  I truly miss. You were and are one of a kind and no one will be able to take your place. You were and are the best mother to all of us. I am very proud to call you my mother and my best friend. We have been through a lot. Most days I do feel like giving up but I know thats not what you want me to do. I constantly hear your voice telling me to watch over your babies and you do have my promise. Then and now. I will always look after them no matter what. They are my babies now, even though they are all taller than me. You groomed me for this and I see this now.  You prepared me for this. You taught me everything you knew in raising kids. But you do have my promise and its the same promise we made in the past. You did all you could for all of us and God knew you were tired and ready for heaven. Its your turn to rest. Happy Mother's Day mom! First Mother's Day without you. I miss sharing this day with you. It is really tough but just know that I love you and miss you!

Mom,
I miss you so much. That day keeps playing in my head over and over again. I love you. I am trying my best to stay strong and keep a powerful presence. It was all so fast. But who am I to say that it wasn't your time. You've taught me better than that. You always said that when it's your time to go, it's your time to go. No more pain for you. So i'm using that as my catapult to be strong. I know that i'll miss you and Cooper together. But my memories are strong. I miss you and love you.

It's amazing how you take for granted the small things. I can remember popping up in Birmingham on our birthday. I can remember visiting you all through college. You're forever in my heart and I pray for strength for my cousins as you were their rock. You are off to a better place with your sister, your daughter, your Mom and Dad. Mom, just like this candle, your light shined wherever you went. With your smile and compassion, you lit up every room you entered. Now that you're resting in heaven, you can shine from up above. I love you dearly and will miss you with all my heart.

I'm lost without you. Everyday I walk around as if something is missing. Feeling incomplete without my mother, my best friend, and my mommie. Life was good and you made it that way. Oh yeah mom all the talks where you thought I wasnt listening, well I was. I love you mom.

Mom, words cant explain the emptiness I feel in my heart for your earthly death. When you left this earth, a part of me left as well. We were so close and had such kindred spirits. We even got mistaken for sisters on many occasions (I know you loved that :-)) At times, people mistook me for you on the phone and started a long conversation before I could stop them and tell them I was not you.

Even though we spoke at least twice a day, everyday, im so glad that I had a chance to spend two weeks with you before you went home with God. Im so glad that our entire family was together during this time. There were things that you revealed to me during these two weeks, that I did not fully comprehend until you went home to God. Thank you for being the most selfless, free-hearted, angelic person I know. Because of your example, I have always strived to be like you. If I can be half the person that you were, then I know im doing well.

Im glad that Geneva now has another familiar angel sitting with her in heaven. Loving and missing your earthly body, while knowing that your spirit still lives in me.

 Dear mom, Rest in peace. I love you so much. Youu are In a  better place now. Miss the time we had together.

We will forever miss you Mom. This pain may never go away. You were loving, caring and so much more. I will never forget everything you have done for us and many others. You have touched more people then you may know. You will forever be missed but never forgotten.

It hurts so bad but I'm trying to stay strong. This is the one pain that you cannot help me fix this time. We had so much in common, even our names, our tempers, our big heart and many other things. I miss seeing, joking, talking, and texting you everyday. I miss your laughs. I miss you calling me at work for no reason.  I just miss you.
