Born on December 21, 1939, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Darla began her life as the youngest of six children. Over the years, she built a life marked by quiet strength and a generous spirit. Those who knew her remember Darla as kind and always willing to help however she could—a presence of warmth and support in the lives of many.
Darla shared a long marriage with her husband, Howard, of 65 years. Together they raised four sons: Marty, Kelly, Denny, and Cory. Darla was predeceased by Marty and Kelly, whose memories remained close to her heart throughout the years.
In a testament to her determination, Darla returned to school later in life and earned her high school diploma when she was 37 years old—an achievement that reflected both resilience and pride.
