Diana Loucreacy Rainey
February 25, 1960 – June 10, 2026
"Her children arise up, and call her blessed." Proverbs 31:28
With profound love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Diana
Loucreacy Rainey, who peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 10, 2026, in Lancaster,
California. She was born on February 25, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, to the late George T.
Lloyd and Viola B. Lloyd.
Diana accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized, beginning a lifelong journey of faith
and devotion. As a born-again Christian, she dedicated her life to serving the Lord and faithfully
participated in church ministries throughout her youth and adult years. She lovingly volunteered
with Vacation Bible School, Bible study programs, and various church activities. At the time of
her passing, she was a devoted member of Grace Chapel, where her faith and love for God
remained steadfast.
Diana attended Los Angeles City College, where she met the love of her life, Asbery Rainey III.
Their love blossomed into a beautiful union, and they were joined in holy matrimony on August
18, 1985. Together they shared a loving marriage until his passing on September 17, 2016.
Though widowed, Diana's love and devotion to her husband remained unwavering.
Diana pursued studies in psychology at Los Angeles City College and later furthered her
education in computer studies at a technical school in 1984. She worked faithfully as a caregiver
for many years, touching countless lives with her compassion and gentle spirit before retiring in
2024.
More than any title she held, Diana cherished being a mother. She often said, "I wanted to stay
home and be a mother to my children," and she accomplished that goal with love, grace, and
unwavering devotion. She poured her heart into raising her sons and was a source of kindness,
understanding, and encouragement not only to them but to many whose lives she touched.
After retirement, Diana enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and Oregon, and treasured
spending time with family and friends. She often reflected on her own childhood and spoke
lovingly of the strength of her father, who raised six children after the passing of her mother
when Diana was only seven years old. Those experiences shaped the compassionate and
resilient woman she became.
Diana was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Asbery Rainey III, her parents, George
T. Lloyd and Viola B. Lloyd, and her sister, Clarice Lloyd.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving sons, George Davis and Asbery Rainey
IV his wife Ila Mac Millan Rainey, her grandchild Icarus Mac Millan; her dear sisters, Patricia
Lloyd and Norma Stanley; her brother Greg Llolyd along with a host of nieces, nephews,
extended family members, church family, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory
close to their hearts.
Diana's life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, sacrifice, and service. She possessed a
gentle spirit and a compassionate heart, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer words of
encouragement, and show love to those around her. Her legacy will continue to live on through
the countless lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
Though she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing that she has heard the words:
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."
— Matthew 25:23
