Born in Indiana, PA on September 25th, 1954. Died peacefully in his sleep March 23rd, 2016. George grew up in Starford, PA and moved to Reseda, CA in 1966. George graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1971 then joined the Navy and served on the USS Lockwood until 1975. George married Carol Jean (Blake) on November 28th, 1985. They have lived in the Antelope Valley for 27 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
George is survived by his wife Carol, His mother Eileen Merrick, his brothers Tom (wife Mickie) Merrick, Rudy (wife Diane) Merrick and Mike (wife Marylou) Merrick. His daughter Dawn Beltowski and grandchildren Ashley and Haylee Wrtaza. George is also survived by nephews Clyde, Tom Jr, Russell, Richard, Steven and Michael Jr. As well as nieces Melissa Grijalva and Megan Merrick. George is also survived by many great-nephews, great-nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
