In Loving Memory & Celebration of Ninety-Three Years
We are gathered today to celebrate an extraordinary woman—my mother. Ninety-three years is a remarkable journey, but no amount of time ever feels like enough. Down to her very soul, Mom was simply sweet.
A woman of deep, abiding faith, she guided me to Sunday school, instilling a spiritual foundation that stays with me to this day. Her life was an adventure—moving from Ohio to Hollywood at 21 to work for Gene Autry, before marrying my father and sharing over fifty years together in Lancaster.
"I am deeply grateful that Mom and Dad adopted me right from birth. She gave me a wonderful home and a lifetime of devotion, and I cherish her for choosing to be my mother."
Together, they passed down a love for nature, the Eastern Sierras, and sports. Mom poured her heart into our community, from Little League snow cones to winning countless ribbons at the
Antelope Valley Fair for her knitting. In the kitchen, her world-famous tacos were delicious, and every Christmas brought batches of her top-secret peanut brittle.
"Above all, Mom’s capacity to love was endless. She lovingly stepped into the grandmother role for my daughter Heather when she didn't need to, and she did a fantastic job. To know Mom was to feel cared for, safe, and valued."
Her greatest legacy is the sweet love she shared and the faith she passed on.
Rest in peace, Mom. Thank you for a lifetime of unconditional love.
You will forever be in our hearts.
