I'm a bit late in writing this,, but better late than never!
Jerry Holiday was such a big influence in my life..and probably never knew it! 
He coached me in Little League along with his son Tony..
The things that he'd say to us players at the time were funny, educational, instructional, But most of all from the Heart. He truly cared about everyone he was connected to, and it took me years to appreciate it. But I did and have appreciated him, his words, his affection. He and Sharon took the time to make sure I made it to all the practices and games with love and care! I hadn't spoken to Jerry in about 35 years! And still have not forgotten about him, his impact on my life, and the positive influence that he was for Me! I'm writing this in August of 2021 and wish I'd known earlier about his passing. But something today compelled me to search his name today, and this is where I landed .

I’ve known this man since I was barely 11 years old. His name is Jerry Holiday and he was married to my oldest sister, Sharon, for 50 years before she left her earthly home early this year. He’s my brother-in-law. No. He’s my brother. And sometimes throughout the years, he’s been my second dad. He’s been in my life through thick and thin, good, bad and ugly. He’s lifted me up when I’ve hit rock bottom and he’s pulled me back to solid ground when I’ve been over the top out of control. He’s encouraged me to pursue my passions, protected me when I’ve been in peril, celebrated with me at my highest moments and consoled me at my lowest. He’s seen me broken and he’s seen me through healing. We’ve danced together, we’ve sang together, we’ve worked together, we’ve played together, we’ve fought together, we’ve laughed and cried together, we’ve grown... together, as family. I love my brother.

Rest in peace Jerry. I will cherish the memories we've made until we meet up again.
