Pops, I miss you soooo much. Life without you is so different and  emotionally challenging. You were always more than a father, you were my best friend. I feel like you’ve come to me in my dreams at times. You  are in my heartfelt thoughts daily. 💚🙏🌈 I know you would tell me to “Let the Adventure Continue”. I often think of our road trip up the coast and Yosemite too. You were such a giving, unselfish, funny and optimistic person to all. I hope you know how much I love & miss you. 

Through the years, whenever you called, you often asked if I knew who you were. That opening line always tickled me. Of course I knew your voice...always. Love you, Uncle Johnny.

I first met Johnny Armstrong in 1963 when he was an X-15 flight planner and I was  a co-op in the NASA flight planning office.  He epitomized the aerospace professional I hoped to become.  Over the next 40+ years he remained a voice of experience and good humor, much like Fitz Fulton.  I will miss him, as will the entire flight test community.
