Massachusetts and transitioned to his life in heaven on December 19, 2022,
in Palmdale, California. He was 93 years old. Jordan married Ruth Gertrude
Hoskins on January 16, 1950. Jordan claimed that he and Ruth would be
celebrating 75 years of marriage if she hadn’t refused his first 3 proposals.
Jordan and Ruth had 3 children: Jerry, Randy, and Sandra. These 3, in turn
married Erlyn, Wendy and Phil. 7 grandchildren became 14. 23
great-grandchildren will soon become 30. In addition to the
great-grandchildren there are 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Beginning In 1947, Jordan served in three branches of the military: Navy,
Army and Air National Guard. Following his military career, he went into the
aerospace industry followed by automotive sales. He was also an
accomplished photographer.
The most important thing in Jordan’s life was his personal relationship with
God. Though he was raised Orthodox Jew, in the 60’s Jordan came to believe
that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. In the 80’s he came to believe that the
world could be evangelized through discipleship and reaching out to the
world.
Jordan developed a Bible study website (www.godslastwillntestament.com)
that has received over 800,000 visits. He has supported a small Church of
Christ congregation in Vijayawada, India for the last several years. Many
people can testify that he and “Ruthie” have helped countless lives,
marriages, and relationships with God. Numerous people were baptized in
Jordan’s jacuzzi.
In the end, Jordan enjoyed God’s blessings with a long life and in the impact
he made on the world. He loved us mightily.
