Born July 9, 1921 in Winchester, Ill. Passed away March 20, 2017 in Lancaster California. Proudly served in the US Army Air Corps 1942-1958. Moved his family to Lancaster in 1955. Retired from Hughes Aircraft 1984- Space and Communication Division-Member of the Masonic Lodge. Joy is survived by his children: Darryl, David, Jim, Don (Peggy), Patti, Darlene (Brian): grandchildren: Tamara (Jason), Megan (Chris), Chelsea, Haley; great-grandchildren: Devon, Cole, Mason, Caden Paisley. Preceded in death by his wife Marion. They would have been married 70 years this April; son-in-law Don Easton; grandson, Colton Scherf. Viewing March 30, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on March 31, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Joshua Memorial Park and Mortuary.
