Julie Louise Balcom Morelock

Julie Balcom Morelock was born on September 3, 1961 to her parents Virgil and Janice Lackey in Pamona, California. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister who always found a way to see the good in everyone and everything. Julie was full of life and her strength was infectious. She cared deeply, lived spontaneously, and loved unconditionally. She always had a way of making sure each of her children knew that they were great and she instilled a bond and a strength within each of them that will live on inside their hearts forever. Julie was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 2016. She had always been a fighter, and her children knew that she would do everything in her power to battle the cancer and live to have more moments, more laughs, and more memories in the time that she had left. Her mother, children, and grandchildren were by her side throughout the duration of her illness. She laughed with them, she cried with them, she played with them, but most of all she loved them. The Lord decided it was her time on April 23, 2017.

Born Julie Louise Lackey, our mother is survived by her loving husband, Mark Morelock, her caring mother, Janice Lackey, her step-father, Samuel Lackey, and her five children; Nicole Steele (Travis), Daniel Balcom (Terrah), Jenna Hudson (Jeffrey), Joshua Balcom (Kate), and Jessica Sandoval (Adrian). She also leaves behind her precious gems, whom she adored to the fullest: Gavin, Aaden, Shay, Kylie, Rylie, Aubrey, Jenlyn, Juliana, Dillion, and Liam. Her adoring husband, Danny Balcom and her father, Virgil Lackey preceded her in death.
