When my father retired from the Air Force he and mother decided on settling down in Lancaster. A Year or so later the street we moved on ended up with several military families. All within a few houses of each other. The Burke’s, Pienta’s, Slanina’s, and the Fly’s. I remember Mrs. Burke gardening and always had a wonderful smile. Or when she would pull out of the driveway she would wave. Mrs. Burke and my mom would chat about their children and grandchildren. She was a very nice lady. I will always remember that wonderful smile. ♥️

Mrs Burke to me was always frugle OH MY GOSH I went to Vegas with Linda and her family my first time . Frugle went out the window, she loved to gamble and her bingo. I was So confussed and laughed...I learnt that was her thing...God Bless her she will dearly be missed. She and her daughter were very close I use to sit in my car waiting to go to work while Linda and her mom would discuss the day. Her grandkids loved her dearly and she them . When I think about Mrs Burke I laugh and smile ...she had her way....lol...sending our love and may you and yours be at peace. Love me

Dear Family,
I am sorry that Lil has passed. Lil was my 1st cousin and we met many, many years ago in Omaha. My mother, Betty, was Aunt Louise's sister. My mother and I made three trips to Omaha from San Francisco. I remember Lil and Mildred always watched after me when we visited. Lil helped me a lot with my family genealogy research. We talked a lot on the phone and wrote letters to each other, too. Linda thanks for your help, too. I'm hoping someday I can meet Lil's family. I live in Florida. Linda, please keep in touch. I truly loved your Mother. Love, Jeanne J.
