Age 75, left this earth to be with the Lord on September 8, 2015. Born May 11, 1940 in Long Beach, Calif., Mabel moved to the Antelope Valley in 1948 and has remained here in the Valley for the past 67 years. Mabel worked as a secretary for the Unemployment Development and for Wrigley Mission Control on Edwards Air Force Base and retired in 2008. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her son Michael Cooney and daughter Debra Haynes survive Mabel; she also has three grandchildren, Rachelle & Zachary Haynes and Grace-Sky Cooney; a sister Charlotte Gregory of Patton, PA.; a brother Jack MacGibbon of Frasier Park, Calif. and several nieces on the east coast. Viewing will be held from 4-8 pm, Monday, September 14, 2015 at Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster.
