A heart full of faith. A life full of love. A spirit all her own.
Patricia Carolyn “Pat” Patterson lived with strength, style, and a deep love for God and her
family. Her faith guided her, her determination carried her, and her warmth made people
feel welcome. While our hearts ache to lose her, we rejoice knowing she is home with the
Lord.
Born in Arkansas, Pat moved with her family to Pixley, California, as a child and to
Lancaster as a teenager. It was at Antelope Valley High School that she met Burl
Patterson—the young man who would become her husband and partner through 68 years of
marriage. Lancaster became their lifelong home, where they raised three children and built
a business and life filled with family, friendships, and memories.
A leading local Realtor for 35 years and co-owner of Coldwell Banker A Hartwig Company,
Pat helped generations of Antelope Valley families find a place to call home. She brought
strength, determination, and a personal touch to her work, leaving a lasting mark on the
community she loved.
Pat’s interests were as spirited as she was. She loved cooking, art, reading, music,
traveling, sailing, horseback riding, and skiing. She appreciated beautiful jewelry, had a
flair for style, and enjoyed driving a little faster than she probably should. Loving, faithful,
generous, kind, and determined, Pat had both a strong will and a tender heart.
Her love lives on through her husband, Burl Patterson; daughters Lori Fischer and Debi
Patterson; son Todd Patterson; grandson Jarod Patterson of Lancaster; grandson Slade
Fischer and Kayla Teal Fischer of San Diego, and their daughters Logan and Harper;
granddaughter Lindsey Fischer Hanley and Paul Hanley of San Rafael, California, and their
children Walker and Rylan; granddaughter Courtney Fischer Strauss and Steven Strauss of
Littleton, Colorado; granddaughter Shiloh Fris of Lancaster, California; and her beloved
nieces and nephews of the Vitali family of San Diego.
We will remember Pat in the things she loved: a gathering of family, a favorite song, a
beautiful day by the ocean, and the simple joy of welcoming someone into our home. We
will carry forward her faith, her generosity, and her determination to make a good life for
the people she loved.
Rest joyfully in God’s love, Pat.
Your love is still at work in all of us.
