Pearline Johnson was the firstborn to Douglas Johnson and Jeanette Adams on the 5th of July 1936 in Birmingham Alabama. Her father was a coal miner and although she lost her mother a young age the values she learned from her followed her through life.
She fell in love at a young age with a musician in Chicago, James Hampton and had two children Debora Denise and Terri Lynn but this didn’t deter her her from obtaining several degrees over the years to work at the Los Angeles District attorney’s office for close to 35 years.
Pearline was known for her insatiable knowledge of everything including the scriptures which allowed her to help family and friends through her faith. Married for 70 years and with us for 89 we look forward to seeing her again under God’s Kingdom as one of her favorite versus states in Revelation 21:4 says And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
She is survived by her daughters, granddaughter Danèrey and great-nephew Jamaal who was more like a grandson for James and Pearline. Her late brother John Adams Johnson’s widow Shirley and his daughter Alisha Johnson her children De shaun Fields, Nigle Fields, Ebony Jeraigan amoungst other nieces and nephews from her late brother and Sister Ernestine and Douglas Johnson.
We don’t want to forget that many of The Johnson/Adams lineage has grown beyond the last names we see here who have also maintained in contact over the years. thank you for your love.
